Observations
Non-Professional Status Teachers
A teacher who does not have Professional Teaching Status (Non-PTS) shall have at least four unannounced observations, and two announced observations. There will be no more than two observations per marking period during the school year.
Professional Status Teachers
Any educator on a two year self-directed plan shall have at least one unannounced observations during the evaluation cycle. Nothing shall preclude the Educator and Evaluator from mutually agreeing to and scheduling an announced observation.
September 1
Superintendent, principal or designee meets with evaluators and educators to explain the evaluation process.
October 1
Evaluator meets with first-year educators to assist in self-assessment and goal setting process
(or within four weeks of the Educator’s date of hire.).
Educator submits self-assessment and proposed goals.
October 15
Evaluator meets with Educators in teams or individually to establish Educator Plans
(to be completed in Vector Solutions/Teachpoint, but you can draft it using this Educator Plan document.)
(Educator Plan may be established at Summative Evaluation Report meeting in prior school year.)
For Educators new to the school, meeting with the Evaluator must occur by October 15
or within six weeks of the start of their assignment to that school.
November 1
Evaluator completes Educator Plans.
Educator signs Educator Plan within 5 school days of receipt.
November 15
Evaluator completes first observation of each Educator.
Mid-Cycle (Early January)

2 weeks before Formative Assessment Report date established by Evaluator
Educator provides evidence of family outreach and engagement, fulfillment of professional responsibility and growth,

Unannounced Observations:
Written feedback on an unannounced observation will be provided by the Evaluator to the Educator within 5 School Days of the observation.
If either the Educator or the Evaluator requests a meeting to discuss the observation, such meeting will take place within five (5) school days of receiving the written feedback or as soon as possible thereafter.
Any observation or series of observations resulting in one or more standards judged to be unsatisfactory or needs improvement must be followed by at least one observation of at least 30 minutes in duration within 20 school days.
Announced Observations:
Within 5 school days of the scheduled observation, the Evaluator and Educator shall meet for a pre-observation conference.
Within 5 school days of the observation, the Evaluator and Educator will meet for a post observation conference.
The Evaluator shall provide the Educator with written feedback within 5 school days of the post observation conference.
