Our DDMs
Below are the District-Determined Measures for the art program. Teachers in our program should feel free as a group to modify them; just let me know if you make edits so that I can make those changes elsewhere..
As a teacher, I want my own DDMs to be accurate, time effective, and painless to use -- best to test it out before it counts. A few years ago, the high school art teachers used a similar kind of assessment to measure improvement in creativity (Our Student Learning Goal was on creative thinking.), and we found a number of problems in our original measure right away. We modified the tool, used a different rubric, and came up with something a lot better and easier to use. That tool is now one of our DDMs.
Remember, each of the two DDMs will only need to be done with one group (i.e. two classes total).
It is advisable to align your student learning goal with one of your DDMs.
